Ads
Free accounts see ads on the chore screens.
Ads are never shown while a child's profile is selected: a profile with Limit Access on, or with a Birth Year that makes them under 18.
Your family shares your Premium
Members you invite into your home get the premium features in that home, including a kid's phone or tablet that joined with an invite code.
They don't need to buy their own subscription.

If Premium ends
Chores you already have keep working, and they can always be finished.
Their premium settings are kept but paused until you have Premium again:
- Photo Required and Before Photo Too: a photo is optional.
- Time Window: the chore can be done at any time on its day.
- Rotate: the chore stays with whoever has it, and takes turns again when Premium is back.
- Penalty If Missed: nothing is taken away, and nothing is charged for the time without Premium.
Repeats During the Day keeps working.
You can still edit your chores, but you can't add new chores beyond the free limit, or turn on premium features.
How to upgrade
- Tap the Settings tab.
- Tap Unlock More Features! at the top.
- Choose a plan.
You can also tap any locked feature to open the same screen.
When you bought Premium yourself, the top of Settings shows Unlocked!.
Tap it to manage your subscription.
Troubleshooting
- You paid on another phone or reinstalled the app: open the upgrade screen and tap Restore Purchases (or Restore Previous Purchases).
Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple or Google account you paid with.
- "No previous purchases found." means the store found no purchase for the Apple or Google account on this phone.
- You paid but features are still locked: see I paid and Chore Boss is still locked.
